CJ and I interviewed the gentlemen who made this movie last week on You Served radio. This looks to be a truly phenomenal film. Watch the trailer below and you will see what I mean. In fact if you watch this and don’t end up with a lump in your throat or a tear in your eye, then you need to take your pulse…becuase you don’t have a heart.
The Bouhammer [boo-ham-er] blog was originally created by a 22-year retired First Sergeant of the Army. This blog started out as a way to write about military related issues. It turned into a way for Bouhammer to document his 16 month tour as an ETT leader in Afghanistan for family and friends. It is now one of the leading and award-winning blogs written exclusively on operations in Afghanistan and other military related topics. In addition to Bouhammer, another writer is "The Dude" who is a National Guard Officer who served with Bouhammer in Afghanistan. Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoy what you see. Is this actually going to be a movie? I haven’t heard anything about it, which is surprising. If you can’t guess from my net name, I’m from Maine- less than hour from BIA. I know a couple of the troop greeters and admire their dedication.
Our state flag has “Dirigo” on it, which means “I direct”. Many years ago, during elections, Maine would always vote for the person who became president, so there was a saying, “As Maine goes, so goes the nation.” We set a good example, don’t we?
